About this site

Hello, I am Sven ‘Veijyn’ Borheier, a pychology student from Münster in Germany. I was interested in developing such a site quite some time. Reasons were to provide you with information about what you can learn about eSports in general or specific through the science of psychology.

There are many different topics that have a huge impact on your everyday performance or reading and discussing in eSports. This site should give you knowledge about topics such as:

  • How does visual attention works for eSports and which conclusions are there to maybe improve your individual performance?
  • What are cultural differences in eSports? Why are certain countries or ethnicities better in specific games? What reasons could this have besides from training?
  • What is skill? How you can measure it and how is it done in specific games? Which conclucions are possible, which aren’t? How can you better judge yourself to get a better image about your overall performance?
  • How does motivation works? How does it hinder you getting your best possible performance or maybe even just fun?
  • Give you knowledge about group effects. Why does your team play so poorly together? What are tricks to increase the performance with your team?

This are some examples what you can expect this site will provide you. If you’ve any topics by yourself you want to know something about, feel free to ask.

Have fun reading and hopefully the information you gather here will increase your overall performance and knowledge!
